2025 FALL BALL
Novato South Little League – Fall Ball 2025
Overview:
Fall Ball is an instructional, developmental baseball season designed for players who will be league age 7–12 in Spring 2026 (born between September 1, 2012 and August 31, 2018). It’s a more relaxed and learning-focused season compared to the spring, with an emphasis on skill development, trying new positions, and gaining confidence.
Fall Ball is also fun because we play teams from all over Marin County, not just within Novato. It’s a great chance to grow as a player in a supportive environment.
What to Expect:
- One game per week, usually played on Sundays
- 1-2 practices per week (schedule varies by team)
- Season runs from early September to early November
- No games scheduled on Labor Day weekend
- Games are played against other District 3 teams, including San Rafael, Mill Valley, Ross Valley, Novato North, and more
- Games are scrimmages and instruction happens throughout the game
Player Eligibility:
Players must be league age 7–12 for the 2026 Spring season. Birthdate range: September 1, 2012 – August 31, 2018. Players are grouped by age and experience level to ensure they are appropriately challenged and developing.

Team Size and Space Limits:
Each team will have approximately 12–14 players, depending on manager availability and field access.
Player Placement Policy:
NSLL will place players in the division we believe is the best fit based on:
- League age
- Spring 2025 division
- Overall skill and development
- Feedback from coaches and league staff
This approach ensures a safe and productive environment for every player. While we provide guidance on expected divisions above, final placement is determined by the league and may differ based on registration numbers and team balance.
