Divisions

Novato South Little League serves local kids ages 4-13 across the following divisions:

T-Ball Kidz (4)

The T-Ball Kidz division is for players League Age 4. This is an 8-week instructional program that will meet one day a week (typically Sundays), for 1 hour. Experienced coaches will work with the players on all aspects of the game, including proper throwing mechanics, good glove work, proper base running, and how to be a good teammate. Essentially our goal is to build a proper baseball foundation, so that when our younger players grow through the league they will be prepared for each step along the way.

T-Ball (5-6)

The Tee-Ball division is for players most commonly League Age 5 and 6. It is an introduction to baseball and played on a smaller diamond. A tee is used for most games of the season, with some coach pitch introduced towards the end of the season. Safety balls are used during the entire year. Players and parents should expect 2 games and/or practices per week, (1 weekday and 1 weekend) with a total of 12 games. Both games and practices are typically 1 hour in length. Game scores and league standings are not maintained at this level and teams are selected manually. Practice days and times will be scheduled when teams are assigned based on coach and field availability.
