Foundation Twentyone Softball Tournament - May 19th! by

Bragging rights are sure to be had in our first annual Foundation Twentyone Softball Tournament between Novato South Little League parents and Novato Little League North parents!
...it's "Baseball Day in Novato!"
on Sunday, May 19th!
You're in for a great day filled with fun, food, and friendly competition!
This Softball tournament is a group fundraiser between our three nonprofit organizations: Foundation Twentyone - the Jonathan C. Christopher Memorial Foundation, Novato South Little League, and Novato Little League North!
All of the money raised at the event will be split equally  amongst the three groups. Foundation Twentyone is a nonprofit organization that helps provide scholarship support to children who wish to play baseball in Novato. This season, Foundation Twentyone has already donated $1,000 towards our scholarship fund, and that's before the Softball Tournament has even taken place! 8 NSLL Teams Needed!
We need four "Dad" teams and four "Mom" teams of at least 12 players each from the Majors, Minors, Rookie, and TeeBall (Senor and Junior combined) divisions to come out and play on Sunday, May 19th!
All players will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a complimentary lunch with their $25 registration fee! Additional adult lunches for $10 and kid lunches for $6 are available. It would be helpful to have an estimate on the amount of food needed, so please include payment for additional meals with your player registration form.

Please complete all forms (registration, medical release, hold harmless agreement) and return them to Ellen Christensen-Denton by Friday, April 19th for the early registration fee of $25 per player (only one fee per softball tournament player, even if you play on more than one team!)
*Beginning April 20th, the player fee will be $35.

The #1 regular season team from Novato South plays the #1 regular season team from Novato North in a best of three series on the following dates for both Majors and Minors. Regular season winners will be determined after May 18th.

Thank you so much for donating blood, attempting to donate blood, and volunteering this weekend at our NSLL Blood Drive in honor of Alex Regier. 20 units of blood were drawn at our NSLL blood drive. The Blood Centers of the Pacific needs to draw 500 units every day to meet the needs of Northern California hospitals.
Attached is what the Blood Centers of the Pacific calls "patient stories." The data lists a small sample of blood that was needed on May 6, 2013 at UCSF.
Donated blood in ONE DAY helped save a one-week old baby, a 2 year-old with leukemia, a 3 year-old girl with a brain tumor, a 49 year-old man who received a liver transplant, a 44 year-old woman who had neurosurgery, and a 34 year-old woman with lymphoma.
One hour of your time gave these people another chance at life.
Novato South Little League thanks you, the Blood Centers of the Pacific thanks you, and although the families will never know you, they thank you too.
