Support Nonprofit Foundation Twentyone as they support Novato South Little League!
Foundation Twentyone is an organization started by Novato parents John and Karen
Christopher after their son Jonathan was killed in a car accident in Novato in
his early 20s. They had an outpouring of support from friends, families, and
strangers, and with the money they received, they decided to start a foundation
in their son's honor. Jonathan played Little League in Novato and at Novato High
and Santa Rosa JC too. He was number #21, thus the name of the foundation.
Foundation Twentyone raises money in Jonathan's name in order to provide Little League
scholarships in Novato. To date, Novato South Little League has received over $2,500 from Foundation Twentyone.
Foundation Twentyone organizes events throughout the year to help raise money in honor of their son Jonathan so that they may pass on scholarships to children in need.
Softball Game - SPRING
In the Spring, Foundation Twentyone hosts a softball game between parents of Novato South Little League and Novato Little League North. This is a great event with a little friendly competition between the leagues that builds community spirit in Novato. The money raised at this event is split evenly between Foundation Twentyone, Novato South Little League, and Novato Little League North. We need players annually, so come out and play and support a great cause!
Dinner & Auction – September 6, 2014
In the Fall, Foundation Twentyone hosts a dinner and auction to raise money that directly goes to fund scholarships for Little League and Babe Ruth players in Novato as well as college scholarships for deserving high school students. This is a lovely evening for adults that benefits a worthy cause. Having Novato South parents in attendance at this event shows Foundation Twentyone that we appreciate their annual scholarship support.
This year’s event is on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Trek Winery in downtown Novato. Enjoy a night out without the kids and support this worthwhile endeavor!
